COPING SKILLS TO OVERCOME SURVIVAL MODE AND HELP YOU THRIVE

Are you stuck in survival mode and don't know what to do? When life feels overwhelming, it's easy to slip into survival mode. While this response is natural during stressful or uncertain times, staying in survival mode for too long can lead to burnout, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection. However, with the right coping skills, you can shift from merely surviving to actively thriving in your life!

Emotional regulation: Start identifying and acknowledging your own emotions by practicing self compassion, being aware and using positive affirmations.

Form social connections: Form more social connections in your life like spending time with supportive loved ones or join a support group.

Mindfulness and relaxation: Focus on mindfulness and keeping your mind calm such as, deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation.

Gradual approach: Taking your time and going at your own pace is key to helping you get out of survival mode, going one step at a time.
