Whether you're new or returning to yoga, these poses are sure to help ease some stress and anxiety. These 7 yoga poses can help ground you, improve focus, and restore emotional balance. 

Hero pose: This pose can help relieve anxiety by calming the mind and improving stability. It can also help with strength, flexibility, and posture.

Fish pose: This posture helps relieve stress and tension from the neck and upper back while also improving your breathing and reducing fatigue.

Tree pose: The tree pose helps anxiety by improving balance, grounding the body, and calming the mind while pressing the left foot into the inner right thigh.

Triangle pose: This yoga pose helps stretch the muscles, stimulating digestion, and calming the mind, releasing any tension or anxiety in the body.

Standing forward bend: This pose also known as Uttanasana improves balance and body awareness while standing with your legs together and bending over.

Extended puppy pose: Extended puppy pose stretches the shoulders and spine, and can improve flexibility and range of motion in your body.

Seated forward bend pose: Unliked the standing forward bend, you stay seated for this pose while stretching the back, shoulders, hamstrings and quadriceps. This yoga pose also helps reduce blood pressure.
